Kinetinis a plant growth regulator with cytokinin-like physiological activity. Kinetin may be applied to fruit trees, vegetables, and tissue cultures to promote seed germination and to end the dormant state of lateral buds. Kinetin aids in delaying the aging process of the plant; regulating the transport of nutrients; and promoting fruit formation.
